Subject: Dow Woods Trail Grant

Friends of the Brazoria Wildlife Refuges is writing a grant application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Recreational Grants Branch, to construct an all-weather trail on the Dow Woods unit of the SBNWR. A description of this project can be seen below. This request will be for $200,000. 20% of the cost of the project must be from matching funds. We estimate the total project to cost $250,000. We understand from your conversation with David Plunkett that Dow will be willing to provide $20,000 of this matching fund requirement. Grant requests must be submitted by May 1, 2009, so we would appreciate it if you would provide a letter confirming your contribution before this date.

The letter should be addressed to Torry Tvedt, President of the Friends of Brazoria Wildlife Refuges, P.O. 505, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566. As I will be the project manager, please e-mail me a copy of this letter.
