Field Trips
Picture
Friends of Brazoria Wildlife Refuges members, their friends, and other invitees participate in monthly field trips—short explorations of less well known or restricted areas of the Refuge Complex (and other areas). Usually held from about 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of most months except in summer, these social and educational gatherings are coordinated by the FOBWR Vice President and usually led by the Complex Refuge Manager.
Recent fields trips have included:
  • Farm Field
  • Brazos River Unit
  • Snow Woods (Cannon Creek Lake)
  • Cedar Lake Creek (kayaking)
  • Phillips Tract
  • Pentagon Marsh on Sargent Unit
  • Flo Hannah Prairie
